Patterns and Card Sheets

For those of you who have expressed an interest in the patterns from my Stitching Book, but weren't interested in purchasing the entire book, you will be glad to know that the patterns are now available for individual sale. As are the 3-D's and Pyramids from the Companion CD and many other card sheets that I have been designing over the last month or so. All can be found here at CraftsUPrint and are downloads, so are available as soon as payment is recieved. To find my work specifically, just go over to the Our Designers menu and search under Carol Lepard and you will see all my available work. I am in the process of closing down my website. It will take me a few months to completely close it down, but those still interested in the CD's will still be able to purchase them straight from me.
Just to give you an idea of some of the new design work I have been doing, here are a few of the cards you can find on CraftsUPrint.

Edit. My website Custom Creations by Carolivy is no longer open. All of my sheets and patterns are now available from CraftsUPrint. Soon some of my CD's may be available as Downloads from there as well.

Here is another Tutorial for you using a Fred, She Said paper FSS-momentary_diversionMAR1309 and 3 different programs. I have used Ulead Photo Express, Microsoft Word 2007 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 5. I hope, if you don't have any of these programs, that this tutorial shows you that you can play around with the programs you DO have on your computer to make things work and look the way you want them too.

Another card made with FSS Flutterby

Here is another card I made with the flutterby from Fred, She Said's latest release: Flutterbies for Your Flowers. This one is the same coloring as the smaller one I posted on the last card made with the Flutterbies. This one is just printed larger. The backing paper for this one is done with a technique called Chalk Lines (click here for link to the video tutorial). I used Delta Ceramcoat Gold Iridescent Special Effects Glaze on this Flutterby too...just Love the effect it gives! ;-) The Tea Bag fold is Jeannie Pelletreau's Plaid Some More Fold V1 and the tile is from one of the ladies from Circle of Crafters (suerich). The Holographic Mirri Board is from some folders that I found at WalMart. ;-)

Another New Release from Fred, She Said!

Here is another of the New Releases from Fred, She Said. I just had WAY too much fun painting this one in Photoshop with my Wacom Digital Drawing Pad! The backing paper is one from my first Backing Paper CD. I used Tracey's new Lovely Blossom & Butterfly Digi-Stamp Set for the card. The trail of the butterfly is part of a swirl from a QuicKutz Flourish die.

Before I cut out the Butterfly, I used Delta Ceramcoat Gold Iridescent Special Effect Glaze on it. I put tape behind the antenae again so they could remain free after cutting without fear of tearing.
This picture shows a bit of the shine, but not near the iridescent shimmer of the glaze.

If you haven't already checked out Tracey's blog for the Challenge, you really should! The DigiFreebie that she is giving out to use for it is really Awesome! Make a project using the Freebie and post it with Mr Linkie, following the posting instructions and you stand a chance on winning ALL of the New Releases PLUS $20 Gift Certificate to Fred, She Said Store! How cool is that?!

Flutterbies for Your Flowers - New Release!

It is official! WooHoo! I am now a member of Tracey's Design Team! Here is my very first card made as one of the DT Members.

The Flutterbies are one of Tracey's (Fred, She Said) new releases that is being released today. She is also having a Challenge using a Digi Freebie (with Prizes!), so be sure to check out her Blog! I layered the backing paper over one of mine and gave it more of a "gold" color by doing some "tweeking" with different layers and adjustments. I colored the 3-D Flutterby in Photoshop and used Aleene's Tack-it Over & Over brushed on thinly to coat the top Flutterby, then covered with Glamour Dust. I put a piece of clear tape behind the antenae before I cut them out, so they could be "free" without worry of tearing. It is hard to see in the picture, but I also added a bit of Amber Satin Colorbox Ink around the edge of the Flutterbies backing paper and on the top layer of the Big Dahlia using a Large Scruffy Brush from Donna Dewberry to enhance the gold of the card. This card was made for a Golden Wedding Anniversary.

Here is a closer look at the Flutterby.

Folded Ribbon Roses Card and Tutorial

Here is a card I made using Folded Ribbon Roses. The paper is all embossed paper. The lighter paper is a pale Silver stripe embossed. The silver between is a Crumpled Metallic paper that was purchased in a pack with the top piece from Joann's. The ferns are punched using a Martha Stewar punch and the ribbon used for the bow is the same ribbon used for the center rose and was purchased at WalMart. I didn't actually use ribbon for the red roses, but used a kind of hem binding, folded in half lengthwise.
I also made a box to go with this card. The paper I used for the lid of the box was designed by Penny Wessenauer.

Here is a Tutorial for making the Folded Ribbon Roses I made in this card. Have fun!
