Welcome to our FOURTH Fred She Said blog hop!!! If you just happened to drop by my blog and you are not aware of this wonderful event taking place, please go back to the Fred She Said blog and start your hop!
No Special Code words this time...This time, you must comment on everyone's blog in the hop, then follow the instructions at the end of the blog hop, at the Challenge blog, to make your entry and your name will go in for a draw for a $20 Gift Certificate for the Fred She Said Store!
Here are my Fred She Said creations for this Hop. Something "Old" and something "New"
For the "Old", I have used the Fred's Flowersv3 - Blue Blossoms Kit. I used Photoshop to make the outside "frame" really dimensional without having to do any actual physical layering with the paper. The Blue Round Frame is cut with the Nestabilites dies and the "lace" (both green and black) is cut using the Martha Stewart edging punch, trimming it to curve around the outside of the circle for the black and trimming off just the top "rick-rack" for the green. The small white flowers are made with a small punch that I have and small pearls. I added a few bits of "fern" punched with another Martha Stewart punch under the flowers and some 1/2 pearls to the flowers to finish them.
And, for a bit of a "play" on designs here.....For the "New" card, I used an image that is just being released today called The Old Truck. I have used the Rusty Red version. It also comes in a Red, Brown, Blue and Un-colored versions. I cut the image out with the Mega Rectangle Nestabilities Die and then distressed the edge. Layered on Watercolor paper that has been spritzed with Walnut Ink and Salt. Some Buttons, Ribbon a Tatted Flower and a paper flower all work to finish off this card.

New Tatting
I haven't been doing much in the way of card making lately due to a shoulder injury that is playing up, but I have been doing a LOT of tatting! lol
Here is a doily that I just finished. The pattern is a Variation on Rose Roger's Round Robin Doily and is done in size 20 DMC Cébélia in White.

Recent Needle Tatting
I have been doing a LOT of Needle Tatting lately and thought you might like to see some of the pretties I have been making. ;-)
This pattern is by Birgit Phelps and is adorbly tiny! I used DMC Light Effects to do all of the tatting in all 3 pairs of these earrings. The beads in this pair are all iridescent, though you can't tell it too well. :-( The Tatting on these only measure 1/2" wide! :-O

For this pair, I took a closer picture so, hopefully you can see more of the detail of the earrings and how sparkley the beads are. ;-)
This pattern is by Teri Dusenbury and I just LOVE the way I can add extra beads to the Tatting!

New FSS for my Mother's Birthday
I was struggling with coming up with an idea for the card to make for my Mother's Birthday next Monday. Well when I saw Tracey's (Fred, She Said), I knew right away this was what I was going to use for my Mother's card! The image is just SO perfect!

The red paper is actually the Green paper from FSS - Christmas Papers 1 - 2009, just recolored. ;-) The punch along the edge is a Martha Stewart Punch. The black paper is a strip of Core'dinations Black Magic paper that has been run through the CB Snowflake embossing folder, then sanded with an emery board. The green paper behind the roses is a Pearl Cardstock that has been cut with the Spellbinders Mega Curved Rectangle Nestabilities, then run through the CB Textile embossing folder. I dabbed a bit of Chianti Color Box ink onto the raised portions of the embossing. The glitter on the Christmas Rose Coloured & Digi Sets is done with Aleene's Tack-it Over and Over and Martha Stewart glitter in Green. The ribbon is from my stash.

I just had to show you this Celtic Snowflake that I tatted for my Mother as well. The pattern is by Mark Myers and I did it in size 10 thread because the beads I wanted to use were 4mm. The beads are actually Arora Borealis Pearls, but they are difficult to photograph. :-( The finished snowflake is about 5.5" accross

Little Miss Bitty Flitting to make a friend feel better....
Well, when I saw the Challenge on DTC, I just knew I had to make this card for a friend who is going through some health issues right now. ;-)
Miss Bitty is from Fred, She Said and is digitally colored in Photoshop. The glitter on the card is Glamour Dust and is applied with Aleene's Tack-it Over and Over as are the 1/2 Pearls and Tatted Lace Flowers and Lace Ribbon Bow. I hope it brings some cheer to my friend. ;-)

Most Recent Needle Tatted Doily
Here is a needle tatted doily (finished size approximately 10.5") that I finished recently. It is done in size 30 weight variegated crochet cotton.
I am now working on another one from a 1946 Tatting Magazine.
Besides working on my tatting, which I recently picked back up (after a long break from working on it), I have been working on my web page. I am very happy to say that it is now current with all the cards etc. that I have on hand. I hope too, that I have made it a bit easier to navigate. If you have any suggestions that you would like to see me make, please feel free to send me an email request.
Happy Valentine's Day to you all!

Sorry I have been AWOL
Sorry I haven't posted here in so long. I have been working hard at getting ready for my next Craft Show, coming up the first Saturday of March. This one will be held at a Country Club and the vendors are by invitation only, so I have been working hard. Here are a few of the Easter cards I have done for the show.
This pattern is an Fancy Folding pattern by Ingrid, from Circle of Crafters and is done with Quilling Papers.
This pattern is also by Ingrid and is done in Florist Foils, which are a dream to work with!
This is one of Tracey's (of Fred She Said) Daffodil cards from her Daffodil Card Front Set, of which I took some of the "extras" and the Gamsol Technique and made this card.
This card is pure Tracey from her Daffodil Card Front Set. Backing papers on both of these cards comes from my Backing Paper CD.

And finally, this is what I have been doing to relax. I have taken up my needle tatting again. This is a bookmark that I have designed the pattern for, called Twisted Clover Bookmark. Anyone interested in the pattern, just send me an email. (Sorry, my email address is now in my profile) I will be posting more of my tatting in coming posts.
