Playing with New Toys Today

I just got this new carriage die (from QuicKutz) and the Welcome Baby Embossing Folder & Die Set from Cuddlebug today and really had to play! I don't really "need" any baby cards, but you can't buy new toys and NOT play! lol Pink was the first color to come to hand, so I made a Baby Girl card. I edged the cardstock with some Oil Pastels (by Faber-Castell) and blended them in before embossing an adding the ribbon and bow. I layered that piece on top of a piece of pink holographic "mirri" board that I cut from a folder I bought at WalMart (you really have to look in all sorts of places for you "mirri" board! lol). I popped the carriage up with foam tape and added some pink gems for a bit of bling. The sentiment is cut from the same folder as the backing board.
So easy! Now I am ready if I ever get called on to do a bunch of Baby Shower cards! Yay! Now to find an easy card for Bridal Showers!....hmmmmm......

  1. Carol, that is darling and of course you could do blue for a baby boy. I love the way you have done the edges of the dotted swiss folder.
