Here is my Fred She Said creation...actually, I couldn't stop myself...here are 3 of them! lol I did 2 of the Teacup Pansies in a brand new 5x7 Plaid & Gingham Background paper that I had just finished designing (availabel on CUP). I colored both Teacup Panises with Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils and blended them with water. The first card uses a bit of Shimmer Mist, and boy was I impressed!

The second card uses Perfect Pearls Interferenc Purple, mixed with a bit of water and spritzed on lightly and added a bit of Perfect Pearls Gold mixed with water to the band on the cup I also Distressed the edge of the Plaid & Gingham Backing Paper for a bit of a different look.

The Carnation was my Special Request Flower. It is my All Time Favorite flower and I did it in my favorite color on another of my 5x7 Plaid & Gingham Backing Papers. The coloring on the Carnation is done with Prismacolor Color Pencils and Dry Blended. I also used the Perfect Pearls Interferenc Green on this one, mixed with water and spritzed on a bit heavier this time.

February 13th Craft Show

Well I am home from my Craft Show that I had today. It wasn't a Total flop, but it was pretty slow for everyone today. It is held at Lost Lake Woods Country Club and is a big Winter Fest event for them. None of their events were very well attended because there was a very big snow storm in the South part of the state, keeping a lot of the people who usually come to the event away, so there were actually very few people (read that as customers) there for anyone...sigh. Oh well, the exposure is always good, no matter how few actual sales are made.

Valentine Napkin Card

Oh wow! I was digging through my craft goodies and I found this absolutely gorgeous Valentine Napkin! I just had to make a card with it! Well, actually, I only used 1/4 of the napkin. I have enough napkin left to make 3 more cards! :-> I started out by peeling the napkin so that I just had one layer (the colored part), then I used Freezer Paper and ironed the napkin to the shiny part of the freezer paper (colored side up)....make sure you don't touch your iron to the shiny part of the paper...it is plastic and will make a mess out of your iron! After I had my whole napkin done (I did the whole thing because it is ALL pretty and the freezer paper is big enough to cover the whole napkin) I trimmed it to 1/4 so I could make 1 card. Then I cut out each of the hearts with the Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 1 and mounted it onto card stock cut out with the same die. Before I mounted them on the card stock backers though, I spritzed them with Glimmer Mist though for a bit of pizazz! I layered them on the card with foam tape and added dome sticker hearts that I just happened to have in exactly the same colors to finish off the card.

Last of my Tatting before Saturday's Show

Well, I am done witht the tatting that I am going to do for the upcoming show for Saturday. Now to get evertything packed and ready to go.
The tatting is all done with a singel strand of DMC Light Effects Embroidery Thread.
The Flower Earrings pattern is by Pineywoodstatting.


The Pearl Earrings are a pattern by Nina Libin.

The Butterfly set is a pattern by Teri Dusenbury and the beading pattern in the necklace is the Lacy Spiral Rope by Rosemary Richards.

A New Stationery Set Design

Well, my shoulder may still be hurting, but I managed to get some designing done! Took me 2 days to do the actual construction though, but I got there in the end. I am REALLY happy with the way this one came out!

The set contains everything you see here...the box bottom, top, 3 designs of card fronts, 3 designs of paper and matching envelopes. The box, after is is made up will hold 24 sheets of paper, 12 cards and 12 matching envelopes. The kit name is Country Gingham Stationery Set and is available on Craftsuprint.

I printed the card fronts and the box bottom and top on Textured Heavy White Cardstock. The envelopes and stationery, I printed out on 24# Ink Jet Paper. I used standard cardstock for my card blanks.

Emma in Her Frills with a TB medallion

As a Challenge card on Circle of Crafters in the Tea Bag Room, I decided to use one of the tiles I printed out recently from the new set I made for Valentine's Day (available on CUP), but I didn't need another Valentine's card, so I made this a Thinking of You card. The fold is the Funky Star by one of the ladies from the Circle of Crafters. I used one of Fred She Said's Emma images. This one is Emma with Her Frills On - Digi. I cut her out with the Mega Curved Rectangle Nestabilities and used my Color Box ink pads to color the edges. I colored Emma with Prismacolor color pencils and blended her with Baby Oil with my version of the Gamsol Technique. Emma's frills are glittered with Aleene's Tack-it Over and Over and Glamour Dust. The sentiment is done with a CB die. The ferns are some that were given to me in a RAK. The little white flowers I made with 2 little punches I have and a pearl in the center.

Fred She Said and Mosaic Punching

One of the ladies from Cicle of Crafters posted directions for using the Mosaic Punches and I finally managed to get one figured out! A bit more math involved than I normally like when making a card, but I really DO like the finished effect! lol I did my punching on plain white cardstock, then taped off the punched area and sponged the rest of the cardstock with 2 different colors of blue pearl and a white pearl acrylic paint, added a bit of bling to the punched areas and layered it on top of some textured blue metallic cardstock. I also layered a piece of vellum that had been embossed with the Snowflake CB folder in the center of the punched area. I used some metallic chalks on the vellum piece.




















For the main image on the card, I used Fred She Said's
Emma the Snow Angel - Digi which I printed out on Water Color paper. Emma is colored with markers. Some of the coloring is done with a brush and watered down marker though. I colored the marker on a Ceramic Tile, and used a paint brush to add water and then paint where I wanted the diluted colors.
I used a different kind of glue this time for the glitter and I have to say I'm not very happy with it. I will be going back to the Aleene's as I really like the results I get with that much more than this one!
