Please leave comments on everyone's Blog if you can, as we love to hear what you all think of what we are doing.
Along the way, you will see a special CODE WORD. Collect them all up! Once you reach the end of the blog hop (which will be the Fred She Said Challenge blog), follow the instructions to make your entry and your name will go in for a draw for a $20 Gift Certificate for the Fred She Said Store! How cool is that?!
Here is my Fred She Said creation using a New Release called Wedding Candle Roses:
Using a sheet of 90 # Watercolor paper, I sprinkled Walnut Ink Crystals on the paper, then spritzed it with water, then a very weak Walnut Ink. Then I placed a Kitchen Paper Towel over the sheet and using my Iron, I then ironed the paper until it was dry. That is part of where some of the "texture" comes from. Any remaining crystals on the paper, I brushed off. Then I printed my image on the paper and cut it to the size I wanted for my card (this one is cut to 5-1/4 x 8-1/4" then layered on a wrinkled Gold Cardstock of 5-1/2 x 8-1/2") Then I colored the image with Prismacolor Colored Pencils, using many layers of pencil to achieve the "opaque" look. The candle was colored with White, then highlighted with Blush Pink, Deco Yellow, Aquamarine, Lilac and Chartreuse to give it an Iridescent apperance. After all the coloring was done, I Dry Blended the colors, then used Perfect Pearls and a bit of water to enhance the iridesent look of the candle, the shine of the candle flame and the shine of the frame. Before placing the image on the backing paper, I rounded the corners then distressed the edges. The whole thing was then mounted on the card with foam tape. A few gems added to the inside corners of the card and it is finished.
My special code word is: YOU
